Digital Communications Manager

DFL Caucus

 

Digital Communications Manager position in the DFL Caucus of the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Responsible for creating a positive brand for the House DFL Caucus with a focus on digital media, including managing caucus social media accounts, providing social media and message guidance, coordinating internal and external communications plans, directing and producing high-quality video and graphics projects, and implementing strategic digital communication plans for caucus leadership. Self-starter and ability to work in a collaborative environment required. Must have the ability to work long and irregular hours as needed.

Ideal candidate will have strong written, verbal and technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong knowledge of social media platforms and strategies, ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet various deadlines under pressure, and proven experience in developing and applying a caucus-wide message via digital media. Graphic design and video editing skills are strongly desired.

Experience managing and building professional social media accounts is required. Candidates who are proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud or other software for graphic design and video editing projects are preferred.

This is a full-time, at-will position that works in person with the possibility of some interim remote work consistent with House policies and department needs. The House offers a competitive salary and opportunities for ongoing professional development. Starting classification and annual salary commensurate with relevant experience. Digital Communications Manager range $65,694.24 - $118,249.44. The starting salary range for an entry-level Digital Communications Manager is generally between $65,694.4 and $72,263.76, depending on relevant experience.
