PROJECT MANAGER

M. A. Mortenson Company seeks a FT Project Manager based at our company HQ in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Project Manager provides overall leadership direction to assigned wind farm construction projects, including the management of project quality, timeliness, and safety, as well as mentoring the project team. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and four (4) years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience in the construction industry working on wind farms. Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) working on crane lift planning development and permit applications; concrete mix design submittal, testing, and sampling; and mechanical completion certificates and turbine turnover; (2) performing quality control inspections and engineering field support on all phases of wind turbine construction; (3) preparing project specific transmittal forms in PCMS and expediting submittal forms in order to ensure material deliveries are in sync with project schedule; (4) working on rebar inspection and shop drawing compliance, proper bolt torque and tension procedures on structural tower, material receiving and inventory, turbine component offload and inspections, and project scheduling; and (5) interpreting project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons. All experience may have been gained concurrently. May work in various unanticipated locations in the United States. Salary: $136,032 to $166,100/year.
